The Anna University Zone IX Badminton Tournament for Men and Women was held at PSG College of Technology from September 21 to 22, 2026.
The tournament witnessed participation from six teams in the Men’s category and five teams in the Women’s category.
In the Men’s category, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology secured first place, while PSG College of Technology finished second. Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology and Coimbatore Institute of Technology secured third and fourth places, respectively.
In the Women’s category, PSG College of Technology secured first place, followed by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in second place. PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research secured third place, while Sri Sakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology finished fourth.
Somasundaramoorthy, Physical Director, PSG College of Technology, and Aadarsh, a PSG Tech alumnus (B.E. Mechanical Engineering, Class of 2023), distributed the trophies to the winners.
