Air India Express will introduce 2 daily flights connecting Coimbatore and Bengaluru, and the services are set to start in phases from October 25 while they are expected to become fully operational from November 1.

Under the proposed morning schedule, the flight from Bengaluru will depart at 7.20 a.m. and land in Coimbatore at 8.25 a.m., returning from Coimbatore at 9.10 a.m. to reach Bengaluru by 10.05 a.m. The evening rotation will depart Bengaluru at 7.10 p.m. to arrive in Coimbatore at 8.15 p.m., before operating the return leg from Coimbatore at 9.50 p.m. to touch down in Bengaluru at 10.45 p.m.

This additional Bengaluru connectivity was among the requests made by the Coimbatore NXT Aviation Task Force during its recent interactions with the Air India team, and along with this new services, this route has 5 flights per day, operated by IndiGo and Air India Express.

The timings will particularly benefit IT and software professionals, business travelers and international passengers, providing convenient connections through Bengaluru to destinations including London and other global cities.

“We have now requested Air India Express to commence Coimbatore – Chennai services at the earliest, considering the very high business and passenger movement between the two cities,” Coimbatore NXT Aviation Task Force members said.
