The Department of Civil Engineering of Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, and the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli jointly organised a three-day International Conference, at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, recently.
The conference was on Advances in Materials, Modeling, and Analysis for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure (AMMA SRI-25).
The conference, brought together leading experts from academia and industry to discuss groundbreaking innovations in sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Ganesan Former Professor (HAG) and Dean, NIT Calicut.
In his inaugural address, Ganesan stated, “We face immense challenges, from rapid urbanization and climate change to the depletion of natural resources. Conferences like AMMA SRI-25 are vital for bringing together like-minded researchers and innovators to address these pressing issues.
Sustainability and resilience must not only guide our technological solutions but also our attitudes and lifestyles.
It’s time to focus on long-term sustainable solutions and reimagine how we live, ensuring a better future for generations to come.

Prabhakar Gundlapalli, Associate Director (Civil), NPCIL, Mumbai; Darren Chian Siau Chen, Associate Professor, NUS, Singapore; Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Founding Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering Research Group Leader, Edith Cowan University, Australia and Ajay Jagadeesh, Lecturer and Interim Chair, TU Delft, The Netherlands.
