Representatives from 20+ universities, 30+ speakers and 2000+ students and parents attended the event. N Venkatesh Prabhu, DFO of the Coimbatore Forest Division took part as the chief guest and delivered special address.
Venkatesh shared with the students about his UPSC pursuit, the challenges, the thrill and the sacrifices that he had to make to achieve his dream. He also spoke on how he stayed motivated throughout the journey and how he manages to beat the pressure of life after entering service.
He admitted that it is often painful to do the right thing, but what is right should be done no matter what. It is easy to be lazy, indulge in idleness and engage in social media while it is difficult to wake up early, study, work out etc. In spite of knowing these are difficult, students have to do it because these are the right thing to pursue, he remarked.
