Convective rainfall activity (a type of precipitation caused when the sun intensely heats the Earth’s surface, making warm, moist air rise, cool, and condense into heavy rain) over Coimbatore city and its northern suburbs is set to decline significantly starting tomorrow (22.9.26).
Temperature across the city is expected to remain manageable. The maximum temperature is forecast to stay largely within or below the 33°C mark. However, a mild monsoon revival remains on the cards later in the week.
An atmospheric circulation over the Bay of Bengal is poised to introduce transient southwest monsoon conditions over the region. Under this influence, Coimbatore is likely to experience light drizzles and overcast skies towards the end of the week, particularly across Friday and Saturday.The upcoming spell will remain predominantly limited to light monsoon drizzles rather than heavy, continuous rain.
