Valparai is experiencing a sudden surge in tourist arrivals, driven by an unusual pattern of clear, sunny days accompanied by a pleasant, cool breeze.

Although the hill station typically sees rainfall around this time, a weak monsoon season has brought bright skies instead. This unexpected weather has made outdoor sightseeing particularly enjoyable, drawing crowds to popular regional spots like the Nallamudi Viewpoint, Sholayar Dam, Chinna Kallar Falls, and Monkey Falls.

At the same time, tourists have requested that local authorities establish a dedicated, official feedback system so visitors can report grievances and share suggestions about specific sight-seeing locations. According to reports, the most frequent complaint is the poor condition or complete absence of essential/basic public amenities across the hill station.

It is nearly impossible to see a commercial establishment without QR-based payment systems anywhere in Tamil Nadu, today due to the many advantages it has.  Likewise, QR-based feedback/grievance registration portals should be introduced across Coimbatore and Tamil Nadu as it also prove to be a rich source of data and insights for tourism development.
