The ECO and Health Clubs of Hindusthan College of Arts & Science jointly organised a “Dengue Awareness Rally” recently.
The rally was conducted on the college campus and in the nearby areas of Udayampalayam to create awareness among students and the public about dengue prevention and the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The rally was flagged off by Principal Ponnusamy and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who highlighted essential measures to prevent the spread of dengue.
The participants sensitised the public about eliminating stagnant water, preventing mosquito breeding, keeping water storage containers properly covered, and maintaining cleanliness in and around residential and public spaces.
A key feature of the rally was the display of awareness placards and slogans highlighting dengue prevention. Through simple and informative messages, the students emphasised the importance of removing potential mosquito-breeding sites and adopting responsible sanitation practices.
The activity enabled students to communicate important public health messages in an engaging and accessible manner. The rally also highlighted the close relationship between individual health, environmental cleanliness, and community responsibility in preventing mosquito-borne diseases.
Students encouraged the public to actively participate in maintaining clean surroundings and taking timely preventive measures against dengue.
The “Dengue Awareness Rally” served as an effective platform to promote awareness about dengue prevention among students and the surrounding community. The initiative reflected the commitment of the ECO Club and Health Club to promoting public health, environmental responsibility, and active community participation in building a cleaner and healthier society.
