The Department of Commerce with Corporate Secretaryship and Accounting & Finance at Hindusthan College of Arts & Science recently inaugurated its Commerce Association for the academic year.
Sasikala, Head of the Department, delivered the welcome address, while the Presidential Address was delivered by Ponnusamy, Principal.
The Chief Guest, S. Rajasekhar, Chief Executive Officer of Tandem Enterprises, Coimbatore and Chennai, and Past District Governor, RID 3206, inaugurated the association.
In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest encouraged students to develop professional skills, leadership qualities, and a commitment to continuous learning. He emphasised the importance of combining academic knowledge with practical exposure to prepare students for successful careers.
The highlight of the event was the introduction of the office bearers and the presentation of badges to the newly appointed student leaders of the Commerce Association. This was followed by a pledge-taking ceremony, during which the office bearers pledged to discharge their responsibilities with dedication and commitment.
