The Faculty of Computer Science, Dr. NGP Arts and Science College, inaugurated the ACM Student Chapter along with an Eminent Speaker Programme recently, marking a significant milestone in promoting technical excellence and professional development among students.
The programme was inaugurated by Dushyanth Behl, Researcher, IBM India, who delivered an inspiring keynote address on emerging trends in computing and research opportunities.
His session provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in technology and motivated students to pursue innovation and research.
The function was presided over by Mathura V. Palaniswami, Trustee, Dr. NGP Educational and Charitable Trust, who formally installed the newly elected office bearers of the ACM Student Chapter.
The event was felicitated by Saravanan, Principal, and Mary Magdalene Jane, Dean, Faculty of Computer Science, along with the Heads of various Departments.
Praba, ACM Faculty Coordinator, presented an overview of the ACM Student Chapter, highlighting its objectives and future initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ technical competencies, leadership qualities, innovation, and global exposure.
The programme commenced with the welcome address delivered by Ronitha, Treasurer, ACM Student Chapter, and concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Yazhini, President, ACM Student Chapter.
The newly inaugurated ACM Student Chapter will serve as a dynamic platform for students to organise workshops, hackathons, coding competitions, technical seminars, and research- oriented activities, thereby fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth throughout the academic year.
