Several first-year Indian students at VIT Mauritius have secured paid internships at leading companies, including SWAN Mauritius and SBI Mauritius.

The achievement highlights the university’s strong industry connections and career-oriented approach.

In the field of technological innovation, a three-member Computer Engineering team impressed judges with its project, ‘The VeriFIRE’, at the demanding 36-hour SENSE HACK National Hackathon.

In another achievement, a five-member team secured a place among the Top 50 teams at the VIT & SanDisk Hackathon 2026 with its AI-enabled Smart Storage Management System.

Academically, students have made significant progress by co-authoring peer-reviewed research papers that were presented at prestigious international platforms, including the IEEE 15th CSNDSP 2026 at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and the ANRF-sponsored NEleX-2026 in India.

The first-year students also demonstrated leadership by organising TECHWAVE, a technical symposium that successfully bridged academic concepts with practical industry applications.

These achievements underscore VIT Mauritius’s commitment to excellence through its rigorous curriculum, extensive hands-on training, and vibrant corporate ecosystem, equipping graduates with the skills and confidence to compete in the global technology landscape.
