Jnana Kendra, the Centre for Research and Development of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, in association with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), organised a one-day workshop aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among students and budding innovators.
The workshop was designed to empower students by providing comprehensive insights into the MSME sector, including government schemes, registration procedures, funding opportunities, and best practices for sustainable business growth.
The felicitation address was delivered by Sarasuwathi, Secretary, and Priya, Executive Secretary of the college. The welcome address was given by Anuradha, Dean of Research and Development, and Ponnusamy, Principal, delivered the presidential address.
The distinguished speaker, Rajeshkumar Palanisamy, Training Coordinator at the MSME Technology Development Centre, Coimbatore Zone, gave an insightful presentation that enriched participants’ understanding of the MSME sector and its vast potential.
In his speech, he highlighted startup opportunities available under MSME schemes, including government support through subsidies and funding.
He emphasised the importance of idea validation and business model development and explained the MSME registration process in detail. He also shared success stories of student-led startups to illustrate real-world entrepreneurial journeys.
The workshop concluded with a networking session that facilitated direct engagement between students, mentors, and government representatives.
