VIT Mauritius in association with The Institution of Engineers and Scientists (IOES) organized Tech Ideathon 2026 – a virtual idea presentation hackathon recently. The competition is held to foster global collaboration and innovation.
Over 3,500 innovative ideas were submitted from across the globe. The two-day event witnessed the participation of 1,612 individuals representing 297 educational institutions across five nations: Mauritius, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the United States.
In the final round of the Ideathon, 200 teams presented their projects to a panel of judges comprising industry professionals and academicians.
It is noteworthy to mention that applications are now being invited for scholarships for the Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng. Hons) degree programs for the year 2026.
