VIMS inducts MBA students of the 2025-27 batch 

Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) organised a Students’ Induction Programme for 2025-27 MBA batch on 23^rd July 2025.

Valarmathi, Director, VIMS, delivered the presidential address, welcoming the chief guests and students. She emphasised the importance of values in the workplace.

She also discussed the academic methodology of the institution and advised students to continuously update themselves, understand industry expectations, and build professional networks.

Vipin Shankar, CEO- India Subcontinent, St. John Freight Systems, appreciated VIMS for creating managerial talent that meets industry expectations.

He shared his experiences with students, emphasizing the importance of goal-setting, learnability, adoptability, and flexibility. He also highlighted the appropriate use of social media and being with social consciousness in today’s world.

Parameswaran, Chief Operating Officer, Aquatek Sanitary Fittings, discussed the importance of participation in management clubs, aspiration-driven transformation, goal-setting, and critical thinking.

He also emphasized the need for students to develop communication skills, digital fluency, emotional intelligence, and entrepreneurial skills.

During the event, the January to June 2025 edition of the VIMS newsletter, V-IMPRINT, was released by the chief guests.

The Director honoured the chief guests with mementoes. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Umamaheshwari, Professor, VIMS.
