Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology recently established the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Smart E- Mobility and Skill Development.
This initiative, jointly undertaken by the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, aims to foster research, innovation, and skill development in the rapidly growing field of electric mobility.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by R. Sundar, the Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests N.R. Alamelu, Director, Academics of the Trust, Shekhar Malani, Managing Director, Devise Electronics, Coimbatore, and Ajay, Executive Director, Magnetic and Controls, Coimbatore, felicitated the function. The event was presided over by David Rathnaraj, Principal of the college.
The Centre of Excellence has been sponsored by Devise Electronics and Magnetic and Controls, reflecting their commitment to advancing e-mobility solutions and nurturing technical talent. As a significant step forward, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Devise Electronics, Magnetic and Controls and Autosports.
These collaborations will pave the way for industry-academia partnerships, providing students and faculty with opportunities for hands-on training, research, and development in electric mobility technologies.
Speaking at the event, R. Sundar emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, encouraging students to explore innovative solutions in the e-mobility sector. The dignitaries highlighted the role of the Centre in enhancing skill development and contributing to sustainable transportation solutions in India.
