Sri Ramakrishna Dental College & Hospital, in association with the Coimbatore Corporation Health Department and CTM Home UPHC, organised a voters’ awareness rally recently to promote the importance of voting and responsible citizenship.

The rally was flagged off by Dr. Dinakar, Principal of the college; Ramkumar, Chief Executive Officer; Mahesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer at SNR Sons Charitable Trust; Dr. Rajagopal, Medical Director; Dr. Alagappan, Medical Superintendent at Sri Ramakrishna Hospitals; and Dr. Jeevarathinam, Medical Officer, CTM Home UPHC, in the presence of faculty members and students.

The rally commenced from Women’s Polytechnic and proceeded to VOC Park, covering key public areas and attracting the attention of the general public.

More than 200 participants, including students and staff members, actively took part in the rally. They carried placards with messages encouraging people to exercise their right to vote and participate responsibly in the democratic process.

Students also took part in face painting based on voting themes, creatively conveying messages on the importance of voting. As part of the programme, they also took a voters’ pledge to ensure 100% participation in voting.

The rally received an encouraging response from the public, effectively spreading awareness about the significance of voting in strengthening democracy.
