The World Malayalee Council India Region elected its office bearers for the 2025–2027 term on April 23, 2025.
Mohan Nair from Gujarat was elected as the Chairman, Padmakumar from Coimbatore as President, Ramachandran Perambra from Kozhikode as Secretary General, and Thomas Arul Alexander as Treasurer. All office bearers were elected unanimously.
Padmakumar previously served as the Chairman of WMC Coimbatore Province, Vice Chairman of the India Region, and Global Vice President of WMC. He is also currently serving as the Chief Coordinator of Rotary District 3201 and has been a member of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore for 36 years.
In addition to these roles, he has held positions as an office bearer and Executive Committee member in various other social and cultural organisations in Coimbatore and Kerala.
