The Rotary E-Club of Metro Dynamix donated a smart board valued at 1.2 lakhs to Govanur Panchayat Union Middle School, under the project name Shikshaa, a flagship project of the club.
This initiative will benefit students from tribal and underprivileged families. It aims to empower their digital learning and provide equal access to technology.
The event was attended by school district officials, government school representatives, corporate partners, and friends and family.
“The joy on the students’ faces was priceless as they experienced this new resource. We also sponsored an origami session for the students, where they created beautiful paper art, blending creativity with learning,” said Vidya Thathamangalam, Project Chairman and Secretary, Rotary E-Club of Metro Dynamix, RID 3201.
Thathamangalam also adds that this donation opens new educational opportunities for these students, equipping them with tools to succeed in a digital world and helping them realize their full potential.
“Most of the students from the nearby tribal villages are probably the first in many generations to pursue formal education and schooling, Vidya Thathamangalam mentioned.”
To be noted, the club has donated to five government schools to date and looking into scaling this project up to reach many needy schools.
