Rotary District 3206 recently organised its first District Ann’s Meet, celebrating inspiration, purpose and service.
At the event, three distinguished women were honoured for their achievements. They were Nandini Rangaswamy, Chairperson of GRG Educational Institutions and Managing Director of Chandra Group of Companies; Dr. Geethanjali, Dean of Coimbatore Medical College and CMCH; and Sqn. Ldr. Shumathi, a pioneer in combat aviation and the first woman to fly the multi-engine Mi-17 helicopter.
Rtn. R.S. Maruti, District Governor, RID 3206, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and presented the awards.
The occasion also witnessed the launch of Annspire, a social media platform for Ann’s, and Panorama: Ann’s Service & Smiles, the District Ann’s e-Bulletin, celebrating every project, achievement and inspiring story from across Rotary District 3206.
The event featured insightful sessions on Sustainability by Ramasamy Raveendran, Secretary at Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RACC), and Resilience by Pradeep Yuvaraj. It also showcased the AUMM Foundation’s upcycled garment initiative by the Rotary Ann’s Clubs.
Suji Senthil, District Ann’s Chair, along with more than 500 Ann’s, came together for the inaugural District Ann’s Meet.
