The Department of Visual Communication, School of Fashion Design, Media and Performing Arts, Rathinam Global (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore, has undertaken an innovative initiative titled “Honouring Vallalar Through AI-Powered Visual Storytelling” as part of Vallalar Mission 2026.

The initiative uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital filmmaking to portray the life, philosophy, spiritual journey, and humanitarian teachings of Arutperunjothi Vallalar. Through this creative endeavour, students and faculty members collaborated to communicate Vallalar’s timeless message of compassion, kindness, equality, and Jeevakarunyam—compassion for all living beings—using emerging digital technologies.

The initiative was presented as part of the Vallalar-related special programme held at Meenakshi College for Women, Chennai, on October 10, 2026, in connection with the Sanmarga Peruvizha. It was presided over by Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Ramesh.

The student team comprised Dhanusri, Nevitha, Tharaneesh,  Boopathi, and Yadhiraj from the Department of Visual Communication. The project was guided by  Vignesh, Assistant Professor;  Vishal Mithran, Assistant Professor; and  Raju, Associate Dean, School of Fashion Design, Media and Performing Arts, Rathinam Global (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore.
