The Department of Visual Communication and the Department of Costume Design and Fashion at Rathinam Group of Institutions organised the F Series Festival 2025, at the Rathinam Grand Hall, recently.
The event drew an audience of over 2,500 attendees and it celebrated the artistry and creativity of both short films and fashion design, offering an exciting platform for students from across India to showcase their talents.
The festival featured over 50 short films and more than 15 fashion teams, with participants hailing from various states, including Bangalore, Chennai, and Trivandrum. The event had diverse ideas, creativity and innovation as students from across the country came together to compete for a prestigious cash prize of Rs. 100,000.
The top 5 short films and the top 5 fashion shows were showcased to the audience. The event highlighted the incredible potential of young filmmakers and fashion designers, while also underscoring the importance of the creative industries in shaping contemporary culture.
The festival was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Shima Senthil, Director, Rathinam Group of Institutions, and Megna Senthil, Trustee, Rathinam Group of Institutions who presided over the function.

At the end of the festival, the mega-musical concert was organized with special guests including, Anthony Daasan, Music Composer / Playback Singer; Vinaita Sivakumar, Playback Singer; Iyenar, Playback Singer and Vrusha, Playback Singer, accompanied by their musical band.
Faculties and students from various departments also attended, making the event a truly inclusive celebration of creativity and innovation.
