The PSG Tech Platinum Jubilee Alumni Meet 2026 will be held from January 9 to 11 at PSG College of Technology. The announcement was made at a press meeting on January 7.
Krishna Kumar, President of the PSG Tech Alumni Association; Arasu, General Secretary; Nandakumar, Event Chairman; Suresh Kumar, Event Secretary; Prakasan, Principal of the college; and Ravi Selvan & Somasuntharam the Past Presidents of the association, shared details about the three-day event.
The meet is part of the college’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, marking 75 years since PSG College of Technology was established in 1951.
Over 5,000 alumni, along with family members, are expected to participate from India and abroad, including the USA, UK, Singapore, and Dubai.
Day 1
The Alumni Meet will be inaugurated on January 9, with Kasi Goundan, alumnus and past Director of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH), as Chief Guest, and Veluswami, alumnus and Chairman of the Institute of Indian Foundrymen, Coimbatore Chapter, as Guest of Honour.
Day 2
On January 10, Ramadorai, Chairperson of Mission Karmayogi Bharat and former CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services, will be the Chief Guest and will present the Alumni Entrepreneur Award and Young Alumni Award.
A Knowledge Connect event will feature 100 alumni sharing expertise across various domains with students. The day will also include panel discussions, alumni recognition, and interactive sessions.
Cultural Program
The cultural program will feature Tamil folk performances including Nyaandi Melam, Karakaattam, Thappattam, Oyilattam, Koolaattam, Kavadiyaattam, Poikaal Kudhiraiyattam, Pokkaali Kattakkal Attam, Kombu Vaathiyam, and Maadu & Mayil Dance, presented by Rajesh and team from Thiruvarur Music College.
Music performances will include Hindustani music by Mala Ramadorai from Mumbai, Carnatic music by Saketharaman and team, and a PSG Tech Alumni music performance.
Pongal Kondattam, a festival-style celebration, will take place alongside sports activities and visits to the GRD Science & Technology Museum.
Day 3
The final day will include a walkathon and marathon for alumni and students, along with group performances, folk dance, western dance, and other alumni entertainment activities.
The event is organized by the PSG Tech Alumni Association and PSG Tech Alumni Foundation, with support from faculty, students, and volunteers.
The Platinum Jubilee Alumni Meet reflects PSG Tech’s legacy of technical education and its global alumni network.
