Aswalt Praveenraj, a first-year student of the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) programme at PSG College of Arts & Science, clinched the gold medal in the 120+ kg category at the All India Inter-University Powerlifting Men & Women Championship 2025–26.
The championship was hosted by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, and witnessed participation from universities across the country.
Aswalt delivered a remarkable performance, registering a squat of 410 kg, a bench press of 217.5 kg, and a deadlift of 310 kg, achieving a total lift of 937.5 kg.
His outstanding achievement adds another milestone to PSG College of Arts & Science’s sporting accomplishments at the national level and highlights the institution’s continued excellence in sports.
