The above paragraph is the essence of an inspiring speech delivered by Premika Chandrasekaran from Schneider Electric at the Diploma Certificates Presentation Ceremony of PSG Polytechnic College. Premika who heads the Business Unit of Schneider Electric’s Home Solutions Division is an alumna of PSG College of Technology.
She took part as the Chief Guest of the Ceremony. B.Giriraj, Principal, PSG Polytechnic College welcomed the gathering. Premika delivered a special address and gave away the diploma certificates. 14 rank holders and 546 succesful candidates received their diploma certificates.
The Chief Guest in her address, expressed that disruptions and evolutions will become regular affairs in the world. Certain changes and geo-politics will make nations turn to the concept of protectionism, where they will focus on developing solutions inwards and reduce looking outside. The technology, innovation and patents have to take place from within the country, and all this should come from the students, she emphasized.
What a student learns and what would be his contribution will change, hence students need not just specialize only their topic of choice but learn from every new frontiers. “This is possible when you have extremely learning mindset,” she said. “The world looks up to you to deliver a strong impact. The next breaking idea has to come from 500+ students who are graduating today,” she added.
