PSG Institute of Technology & Applied Research (PSG iTech) officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art, nine-storey hostel dedicated to female students on Wednesday.

Spanning an expansive 2.98 lakh square feet across a Ground + 8 floor layout, the newly constructed residence provides high-quality accommodation for up to 1,200 students. The facility comprises 280 rooms available in four-person and six-person sharing configurations, with each room fully equipped with modern study stations, wardrobes, and ergonomic furnishings.

Designed to balance academic rigor with student wellness, the infrastructure offers a comprehensive suite of modern amenities. Every floor features dedicated study halls, laundry facilities with washing machines and dryers, alternating floors host fully equipped fitness centers and indoor gaming spaces, while three spacious elevators ensure seamless transit throughout the building.


In addition to these, individual in-room Wi-Fi support in provided in all rooms. A source shared that the building will house a dedicated solar-power system to meet the energy requirements.

G.R. Karthikeyan, Chairman of PSG & Sons’ Charities inaugurated the premises along with L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee. The event was attended by Dr. Saravanakumar, Principal of PSG iTech, and other key administrative officials and executives from PSG Institutions and PSG Hospitals.
