PSG Hospitals has been honoured with the ‘Early Adopters Award’ by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) recently.
The recognition was presented during NPSC 2026 (NABH Patient Safety Conference 2026) for PSG Hospitals’ completion of the NABH Self-Certification Programme for Climate Change Resilience and Sustainability in Healthcare.
The award reflects PSG Hospitals’ commitment to advancing sustainable, climate-resilient and responsible healthcare practices.
The hospital generates more than 90% of its energy from an integrated wind and solar power network and recharges approximately 170 million litres of rainwater annually, contributing to a positive water balance of around 750 million litres each year.
As part of its sustainability initiatives, approximately 1,000 kg of kitchen food waste is converted into biogas every day, helping conserve around 7 tonnes of LPG.
The hospital has also implemented several energy-efficient measures, including Variable Speed Drives and large-scale solar hot-water systems, supporting responsible resource utilisation and environmental sustainability.
