PSG Hospitals, Coimbatore, in collaboration with leading geriatric organisations, organised the first interstate geriatric conference titled ElderCon 2025” on September 20, 2025, under the theme “Healthy Aging – Adding Life to Years.”
The conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Periasamy, Senior Cardiologist, in the presence of the guest of honour, Padma Shri Dr. Natarajan, Founder of the Geriatric Foundation.
At the inauguration, the guest of honour, Padma Shri Dr. Natarajan, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering contributions and tireless service to the field of geriatrics in India.
The conference served as a platform for doctors, academicians, and healthcare professionals to discuss the growing importance of geriatric care in India. Sessions highlighted strategies for healthy aging, prevention of lifestyle diseases, dementia care, and holistic approaches to enhance the quality of life in elderly populations.
With the active participation of experts from multiple disciplines, the conference emphasised the need for collaborative efforts in advancing Geriatric Medicine and ensuring that healthcare for the elderly goes beyond years of life to truly “adding life to years.”
