A long-unmaintained and damaged public park in Hudco Colony, Phase 2, Peelamedu, has been restored through the efforts of PSG Hospital Management.
The newly renovated park was officially inaugurated on 6th October 2025 by Ganapathy Rajkumar, Member of Parliament, Coimbatore, along with Na. Karthik, Resolution Committee Secretary of the DMK; Sivaguru Prabhakaran, Corporation Commissioner, Coimbatore; and Ranganayaki, Mayor of Coimbatore.

Following the inauguration, the dignitaries planted saplings as a symbolic gesture of environmental commitment. The park, now restored and upgraded, will be maintained by the Pugazhini Women’s Self-Help Group, appointed as the official contractor.
Spanning 1.79 acres, the park underwent extensive renovations over a period of three months (from June to August 2025), with an investment of over ₹10 lakh.
Originally established ten years ago, the park was not maintained following the COVID-19 pandemic. PSG Hospital Management took the initiative to restore it, including the construction of a protective boundary wall.

The park now features:
- Wide walking paths
- A children’s play area with swings and a merry-go-round
- Water fountains
- Shaded seating areas under trees
- Restroom facilities
- An open-air auditorium with a roof
- A stage for public gatherings
- Lush green spaces
The park is open to the public from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Chokkalimgam, President of the Hudco Colony Phase 2 Owners’ Association, expressed heartfelt gratitude to PSG Hospital Management and the Coimbatore Corporation for their contributions to the community. Office-bearers of the association and local residents also participated in the inauguration ceremony.
