PSG College of Arts & Science (PSGCAS), as part of the centenary celebrations of PSG & Sons Charities, successfully organised the “Centenary Cultural Carnival – Skill Craft India” in the college premises, through the School of Applied Skills.

The day-long celebration brought together Indian cultural heritage, traditional skills, culinary arts, music, craftsmanship, fashion and contemporary creative expressions, providing students with a vibrant platform to showcase their talents and creativity.

The program was graced by Kalaimamani awardee, Nithyashree Mahadevan, Musician, Chennai, as the Chief Guest. Nathan, Advisor and Consultant, ASD Education, NSDC, Chennai, and Kumaresan Gokulnathan, Culinary Director – CR Group and Brand Ambassador of Charras Meat & Foods, Salem, were the Guests of Honour.

Nithyashree addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of nurturing India’s rich musical and cultural traditions.

The carnival featured a wide range of skill-based exhibitions, interactive stalls and cultural activities near the Indoor Stadium. The stalls provided visitors and students with opportunities to explore Indian crafts, culinary traditions, creative products and diverse skill-based practices. A series of competitions and cultural programs added vibrancy to the celebration.
