The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Nirmala College for Women, organised the “Ride Wise, Stay Safe – Road Safety Bootcamp” in association with Aavas Financiers and Triguna – The Science of Living, today, to create awareness among students about road safety, responsible riding and the importance of wearing helmets.

As part of the initiative, helmets were distributed to 300 students, encouraging them to make helmet use an essential part of their daily travel.

The programme aimed to sensitise young road users to the importance of following traffic rules, practising safe riding habits and taking personal responsibility for road safety.

The bootcamp was conducted as a CSR initiative of Aavas Financiers and implemented by Triguna – The Science of Living.

The programme focused on promoting awareness about traffic regulations, safe riding practices, the importance of protective equipment and responsible behaviour on the roads.

The college was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including Ashna Navas, Assistant Manager, Triguna – The Science of Living; Himanshu Pandey, Project Coordinator, Triguna – The Science of Living; and Thenmozhi Rajaram, Deputy Area Commander, Home Guards, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu Police.

The programme was held in the presence of Kulandai Therese, Secretary and Mary Fabiola, Principal of the College and NSS Programme Officers Gracy, Mohana and Danya.
