The MoU marks a significant step towards strengthening academic and industry collaboration and providing students with meaningful exposure to emerging areas of science and technology.

The Department organised a series of programmes in commemoration of World Space Week, comprising a Seminar, Workshop, Hands-on Session, and Space Observation.

The programmes were conducted for students and staff, where Bharathkumar Velusamy served as the resource person. As part of the hands-on session, the students assembled a Newtonian reflecting telescope and learned about its working and components.

They also used the telescope to observe the Sun safely, gaining a practical understanding of astronomical observation. The sessions provided students with valuable exposure to space science and technology through expert interaction, practical learning, hands-on activities, and observation.
