Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College won the Bharathiar University A-Zone Men’s Volleyball Tournament.
The tournament was held recently at the college, and a total of 22 teams from leading colleges affiliated with Bharathiar University participated.
The tournament was inaugurated on 17th September 2025, and presided over by Thavamani D. Palanisamy, Secretary of Dr. NGP Institutions, in the presence of Saravanan, Principal of the college.
The event was graced by the Directors of Physical Education, Deans, Heads of Departments, and Faculty Coordinators from the college.
The tournament opened with the matches between Nilgiri Arts and Science College and Sankara Arts and Science College.
After the preliminary rounds, the following teams advanced to the league, included Dr. NGP Arts and Science College, Bharathiyar University, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, and Government Arts and Science College, Gudalur.
The valedictory function was held on 18th September 2025. The dignitaries present were Saravanan, Samasivam, the Administrative Officer of Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, along with the Heads of various departments.
In the semi-final rounds of the tournament, Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College secured a victory against Government Arts and Science College, Gudalur, while Kongunadu Arts and Science College defeated Bharathiar University.
In the subsequent match, Bharathiar University won against Government Arts and Science College, Gudalur.
In the finals, Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College emerged as the champions by defeating Kongunadu Arts and Science College.
