The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore (ICCIC) inaugurated its newly renovated, massive and modern headquarters, Chamber Towers, today.

The newly transformed building was inaugurated by the chief guest, Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The chief guest, along with Rajesh B. Lund, President, ICCIC; Vanitha Mohan; Balasubramanian; Lakshminarayanasamy; and D. Nandakumar, past presidents of ICCIC, lit the lamp and inaugurated the building.

Following the inauguration, ICCIC honoured individuals and organisations with the prestigious G.K. Sundaram Award for excellence.

The chief guest presented the awards in the presence of the office-bearers of the chamber.

In the trade category, Mahaveers received the award. Balchand, Founder of M/s Mahaveers, received the award on behalf of the organisation.

In the industry category, Rangamma Steels and Malleables was honoured, and Ilango, Managing Director, received the award.

The award in the service category was bestowed upon N.V. Nagasubramaniam, senior advocate, in recognition of his 64 years of distinguished legal service.

The architects of the majestic building were also honoured at the event.

Past presidents of ICCIC, including A.V. Varadharajan and D. Nandakumar, were present on the occasion.

Heads and office-bearers of leading industries and associations also graced the occasion.
