The Nehru Group of Institutions celebrated International Women’s Day 2025 at Nethaji Hall, recently.

The event was attended by faculty members and dignitaries who gathered to celebrate and honour the achievements of women.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests: Krishna Kumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions; Chaitanya Krishnakumar, Correspondent, Nehru International School; Nagaraja, Executive Director – Academics & Administrations, Nehru Group of Institutions and Principals of all institutions of the Nehru Group.

Malathi, Head of the Department of English, Nehru Arts and Science College, welcomed the gathering.

Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, Nehru Group of Institutions, in the Presidential Address, delivered a motivating speech about women’s empowerment.

Chaitanya Krishnakumar, highlighted in her inaugural speech that fearless women are the key to raising a fearless generation. She emphasized that since women are the heart of a family, their happiness radiates to those around them, creating a positive and uplifting environment for all.

Nagaraja, in his keynote address, emphasized women’s contributions across fields and the need to acknowledge their unseen struggles.

The inaugural ceremony was followed by a series of vibrant performances and competitions including; solo song, group song, speech/mimicry, solo dance, group dance, fashion show, rangoli competition and cooking without fire

In the Valedictory Address Her Excellency, Ambassador Harisoa Lalatiana Accouche, High Commissioner of the Republic of Seychelles, New Delhi, shared her journey of resilience and courage, highlighting how sacrifice and fearlessness shaped her success, inspiring women to pursue their dreams with determination.

Following the speeches, winners of various competitions were honoured with awards and certificates.
