The Learning Societies UnConference (LSUC) 2025 is set to take place at Kumaraguru Institutions, Coimbatore, from 18th to 22nd June 2025.
A press meeting regarding the event was held on 17th June 2025 at the SIMA Building, Race Course, Coimbatore.
Speakers from Kumaraguru Institutions shared details about the upcoming conference, stating that the event will bring together changemakers, visionaries, and community builders from across India and beyond.
They explained that LSUC was initiated in 2002 by Shikshantar Andolan and a network of radical friends, and it continues to be a dynamic, co-created gathering that celebrates the spirit of lifelong, life-wide, and life-deep learning.
Unlike conventional conferences, LSUC is an “unconference”—a space where participants are also co-creators.
This year, LSUC will welcome a diverse group of individuals including alternative educators, homeschoolers, unschoolers, world schoolers, artists, eco-architects, healers, organic farmers, social entrepreneurs, spiritual seekers, activists, elders, youth, and many others.

The event will feature interactive workshops, circle discussions, creative performances, games, and open sharing sessions, where every individual is invited to contribute their unique gifts to this evolving ecosystem.
Highlights of LSUC 2025 include:
- Food – celebrating local, organic, and conscious cuisines
- Music – showcasing soulful, grassroots talent
- Cooperative Games – focused on play, collaboration, and joy
- Spontaneous Talks, Skill-shares, Stalls, and Healing Spaces
- A vibrant community experience rooted in friendship (maitri) and mutual learning
