Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, inaugurated the Prof. M. Aruchami Foundation on 25 September 2025.
Sangeetha, Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering. Manian, Former Vice-Chancellor of Annamalai University, was the Chief Guest and delivered the inaugural address.
He highlighted the contributions of the late Prof. M. Aruchami, the Founder Principal, Secretary, and President of the college, particularly in the field of higher education and his efforts to uplift rural and underprivileged communities through education.
Earlier, C.A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director of the college, presided over the function and unveiled the foundation’s logo. She explained the objectives of the foundation, which include promoting research, outreach activities, and the conservation of cultural heritage.
Paramasivan, Treasurer, offered his felicitation and outlined the tentative activities planned for the coming years.
Over 200 participants, including faculty members, scholars, students, and members of the public, attended the programme.
