Start a Medical College soon – CP Radhakrishnan, Vice President of India

“Livelihoods”, “Quality Education” & “Healthcare” are some of the jargons and technical terms of the present.  But 74 years ago, an elder who came from a simple village brought all of it into reality through practice. This is the reason why I came all the way from Delhi to participate in this inauguration.

GKNM Hospital stands as one of Coimbatore’s finest and most distinguished landmarks. My request to the Trustees is that you shouldn’t stop with this Nursing College but should soon establish a medical college as well. I will support your endeavors.

India should achieve phenomenal success in healthcare, if it wants to become a developed nation by 2047. Towards this end, both the Central and State Governments are actively taking the necessary steps. Private Sector’s contribution is also incredible in realizing this objective.

I appreciate GKNM Hospital’s role in this, and I wish that you start a medical research-oriented college in the future.
