The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore (ICCIC), on behalf of its members, extended its gratitude to M.K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, for releasing the second comprehensive plan—Coimbatore Masterplan 2041—for the Coimbatore Local Planning Area.
The plan, prepared by the Directorate of Urban Development under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, covers a total area of 1,531.57 sq. km.
The Chamber members appreciated and thanked the Government for this forward-looking Masterplan, which focuses on key objectives including strengthening energy infrastructure, promoting sustainable development strategies, advancing infrastructure development, completing housing projects, and conserving the environment and natural resources.
“We are confident that the ‘Coimbatore Masterplan 2041’ represents a significant vision of the Tamil Nadu Government, developed for the first time with a geographically structured approach to planning the Coimbatore Local Planning Area,” stated the members.
They also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for initiating and implementing this second comprehensive plan in alignment with key Government policies, including the enhancement of green spaces.
