The Department of Costume Design and Fashion at Hindusthan College of Arts & Science recently organized ‘Fashion Fest’
This event brought together creativity, innovation, and the talent of students in the fields of costume design and fashion, offering them a platform to showcase their skills to a wider audience.
The fest was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest P. Siva Ganesh, Managing Director of Shree Devi Textiles, his presence added immense value to the event and was an honour for both the department and the students.
T.R.K. Saraswathi, Secretary of Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust, was the Special Guest, who underscored the institution’s commitment to supporting such student-led initiatives. K. Priya, Executive Secretary of the Trust and Ponnusamy, Principal of the college were the Guests of Honour and played a crucial role in celebrating the student’s achievements.
The expo featured a wide array of exceptional products, all designed and crafted by the students of the department. These included a diverse collection of men’s wear, women’s wear, children’s wear, stylish accessories, and elegant home textile products.
Each item was a testament to the student’s hard work, creativity, and dedication. The quality and uniqueness of the products were evident, attracting a large number of visitors, with over 1,200 participants attending the event.
The response from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with the Chief Guest, Siva Ganesh, offering high praise for the products on display. He also expressed his support by purchasing items directly from the stalls. This gesture highlighted his admiration for the students’ effort and the quality of their creations.
Furthermore, the feedback from the customers was equally encouraging, with many expressing their satisfaction and appreciation for the variety and craftsmanship of the products.
