The Department of Computer Applications (MCA) at Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology organised National Education Day on 30 January 2026.

The session began with a welcome address by Jayasudha, Head of the Department, followed by the presidential address delivered by Jaya, Principal of the college, who emphasized the importance of education in shaping responsible and value-driven individuals.

The Chief Guest, Sathyavani, Advocate, Coimbatore, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking address on the theme “Educational Minds and Responsible Hearts.” She highlighted the value of education and discussed the impact of unethical practices, such as stealing, on students’ minds and future lives, along with the long-term consequences they may face.

She also addressed issues such as mobile phone usage among students, the importance of maintaining proper vehicle documents, and the legal implications of unusual activities, including the consequences of FIRs on students’ lives.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by student Vignesh Kumar.
