Hindusthan College of Arts & Science’s Nodal Centre of VALUE Virtual Labs, in association with VALUE @ Amrita, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organised a one-day workshop on “Exploring Virtual Labs: Hands-On Experience in Learning” on 25th June 2025 at the Library Seminar Hall and Computer Lab.
Anuradha, Professor & Head, Department of Mathematics, Data Science & Analytics, delivered the welcome address.
T.R.K. Sarasuwathi, Secretary, and K. Priya, Executive Secretary of the college, delivered the felicitation address, followed by Ponnusamy, the Principal, who delivered the presidential address.
The resource persons, Saneesh, Project Manager & Technical Lead of Physical Sciences, Virtual Labs, from Amirta Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Nijin, Research Associate, VALUE @ Amrita, shared insights into the virtual lab platform, highlighting its potential to enhance learning. This was followed by a hands-on training session in the computer lab.
Virtual labs empower students to test ideas, observe outcomes, and gain practical experience in a safe and cost-effective environment. These labs are gaining popularity across disciplines such as physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering.
As the HICAS Nodal Centre continues to adopt and refine virtual lab platforms, experts believe this innovation is set to redefine science education. The future of learning is increasingly digital—and it’s unfolding, one virtual experiment at a time.
