Marking the Golden Jubilee of the Department of Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery at G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, a heart-shaped structure was unveiled at the hospital campus on 7th May 2025.

The structure was unveiled by Gopinath, Vice President of the KNC Trust, in the presence of Aditya Krishna Pathy, Trustee of the KNC Trust; Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital; and doctors from the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery departments.

Speaking after the unveiling, Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy said, “As a tribute to 50 years of dedicated service in cardiac care, the Department of Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery commenced its Golden Jubilee celebrations today with the symbolic unveiling of a heart-shaped structure.”

He further added that the striking emblem represents the hospital’s commitment to excellence in diagnosing and treating heart conditions, ranging from medical management and advanced interventional procedures to complex structural heart disease interventions and life-saving surgeries.

Dr. Veluswamy also noted that this milestone reflects the tireless dedication of the entire cardiac team—cardiologists, surgeons, technicians, and support staff—who have consistently delivered outcomes on par with the best in the world. The celebrations continue with two days of scientific deliberations featuring leading experts from across India and around the globe, reaffirming the hospital’s vision to remain at the forefront of cardiac care.

“We honour the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to even greater advancements in heart health,” he concluded.

The hospital added that “The unveiled heart-shaped structure is an emblem honouring the dedication and achievements of the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery units. This sculpture stands as a tribute to the care, precision, and passion that have defined our journey in advancing heart health.”
