The workshop was held under the theme Multivalvular Heart Disease. This event is the first of its kind at the national level, as it features live sessions from the operation theatre focusing on Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
The renowned pioneers in the field, including Dr. Chandrasekaran from the USA, Dr. Deepak Tempe from Delhi, Dr. Muralidhar Kanchi from Bangalore, Dr. Kumar from Chennai, and Dr. Deepak Borde from Mumbai, were among the key speakers at the workshop.
The organisers, Dr. Karthik Babu and Dr. Kaushik Jothinath, shared that the live workshop attracted Cardiac Anaesthesiologists, Cardiologists, and Cardiac Surgeons from across the country.
They also stated that three major heart surgeries were performed during the event using state-of-the-art 3D Transesophageal Echo probes and the most advanced echocardiography machines. Both preoperative and postoperative TEE findings were thoroughly discussed.
This workshop provided cardiac anaesthesiologists with a valuable platform for hands-on training in intraoperative critical decision-making, significantly enhancing their practical knowledge and skills.
