The GENESIS NextGen Startup Summit – Coimbatore Edition, jointly organised by the MeitY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India) Startup Hub and StartupTN, and hosted by the AIC RAISE Business Incubator, Rathinam Group of Institutions, was held recently at the Rathinam Grand Hall in Coimbatore.
The summit brought together over 1,000 startup founders, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, students, academia, industry leaders, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers from across the country.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of the chief guest, Pavan Kumar G. Giriyappanavar, District Collector of Coimbatore. Panneerselvam Madanagopal, CEO, MeitY Startup Hub, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the vision and impact of the GENESIS initiative in strengthening India’s startup ecosystem.
Premkumar, Associate Vice President, StartupTN, spoke about StartupTN’s efforts in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship across Tamil Nadu.
Madan Sendhil, Chancellor, Rathinam Global University, delivered the special address. Representing Rathinam Group of Institutions, Manickam Ramasamy, Vice Chairman, and Nagaraj Balakrishnan, Vice President, AIC RAISE & Rathinam Group of Institution, participated in the inaugural ceremony and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
The summit witnessed the launch of three major initiatives-GENESIS EIR 3.0, MSH C-DAC IP Facilitation Centre, and GENESIS Idea World-aimed at strengthening startup support, intellectual property facilitation, and innovation-led entrepreneurship.
The day featured keynote sessions, expert talks, and thought-provoking panel discussions covering deep-tech innovation, MedTech, intellectual property, advanced manufacturing, women entrepreneurship, investment readiness, and emerging technology opportunities.
Experts from T-Works, Telangana Innovation Cell, C-DAC, IFB Industries, Bosch Global Software Technologies, TVS, Raptee Motors, Akin Analytics, Things Alive, and Welkinrim shared insights with participants.
A major attraction of the summit was the Startup Innovation Expo, where more than 50 startups showcased their innovative products, technologies, and solutions, providing participants with opportunities to experience cutting-edge innovations and interact directly with founders.
The summit also facilitated networking and collaboration among entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, government agencies, incubators, and academia, creating opportunities for partnerships, investments, mentoring, and market access.
