GEM Cancer Centre, a unit of GEM Hospital Group announced on Saturday that it will offer free mammogram screening to teachers who are over 40 years of age from October 1, under its Project Thamarai.

The announcement was made by Dr.Praveen Raj, Joint Managing Director of GEM Hospital during the hospital’s Rose Day Celebrations, and the initiative was launched by Chief Educational Officer of Coimbatore K. Krishnapriya along with Singanallur MLA, Sri Giri Prasad in the presence of Dr.C.Palanivelu, Chairman, GEM Hospital and cancer survivors who attended the event.
