PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech) organised a session- iTech Dialogue, on 21st August 2025.
The resource person for the session was Ashok Ranjith Rajasekaran, Principal Director–HR at LTI Mindtree.
Saravanan, Principal of the college, along with the Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students, attended the session.
In his address, Ashok Ranjith Rajasekaran emphasised that industries and companies today seek relevant and updated experience, rather than simply years of service. “Tenure is not a talent,” he stated, urging students to stay technologically current.

He advised students to develop practical skills by applying the knowledge they gain during their college years, which would serve as a foundation for their future careers. He further encouraged them to focus on character building and adopt a mindset of learning, relearning, unlearning, and continuous learning.
“The moment we stop learning, we start dying,” he remarked, stressing the importance of lifelong learning.
Highlighting the changing nature of the professional world, he stated that the future is multidisciplinary and will be led by individuals who are adaptable across domains. He advised students to “know everything in general, and know something relevant in depth,” a combination that he said aligns with what industries and organisations are currently seeking.
He also spoke about the importance of data privacy, urging students to “respect your privacy,” and reminded them to maintain both mental and physical well-being.

Concluding his address, he encouraged students to “find a friend who will change the course of your life—make friends for life,” highlighting the lasting impact of meaningful relationships.
