Nagaraj Balasubramaniam, a Coimbatore-based writer, NSE-certified market professional, and economic journalist, released his fourth book titled “The Behavioral Investor” on 16th August 2025 in Coimbatore.

This release includes a unique Mirror Edition, the first of its kind in India. Mirror Edition is an innovative format in which every page—from the cover to the content—is printed in reverse and can only be read through a mirror.

Published by New Delhi-based publishing company Adhyyan Books, the Standard Edition of the book was released by Velraj, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, and the first copy was received by Aman Kumar Dubey, Program Chairperson, MBA (IEV), Kumaraguru College of Technology.

The Mirror Edition of the book was released by popular YouTuber and orator Hussain Ahmed, founder of Cheran Academy, and the first copy was received by orator Gurujnanambika.

The author, Nagaraj Balasubramaniam, is also a certified mutual fund distributor and seasoned economic journalist with over two decades of experience. His latest book, “The Behavioral Investor: Why Smart People Make Poor Financial Choices,” delves into behavioral finance, exploring how emotional biases and cognitive traps can lead even the most intelligent investors into costly mistakes.

Drawing on scientific research and real-world case studies, the book equips readers with tools to recognise bias, embrace uncertainty, and apply disciplined strategies to build long-term wealth.

Nagaraj Balasubramaniam is recognised nationally for his efforts in financial education and counselling, making complex financial concepts accessible to a wide audience. His background as an IIM Lucknow alumnus and his certifications in market professionalism and counselling uniquely equip him to guide readers toward smarter investing decisions.

Speaking about the Mirror Edition, Nagaraj said that while the Standard Edition is designed to help readers identify and overcome decision-making biases, the Mirror Edition is an invitation to shift perspectives—proving that how we look at something can transform how we understand it.

“The Mirror Edition is more than a novelty; it’s a creative reminder to reassess how we view information, just as behavioral finance challenges us to question our mental shortcuts,” he added.

With its blend of market insight, psychology, and practical strategies, “The Behavioral Investor” stands out as both a financial guide and a milestone in creative publishing.

Recognising the uniqueness of the Mirror Edition, “The Behavioral Investor” was acknowledged by the India Book of Records as India’s first Mirror Edition book at the event.

It may be noted that the book was also recognised by the London Book of World Records in July 2025.

The event was organised by Handcraft Events Studioz, a Coimbatore-based event management company.

Other guests present at the event included VS Chandirakumar, founder of Valam (NGO); RV Sivakumar, founder of RV Garments; and the president and members of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Blossom.
