Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day on August 15, 2025.
Valarmathi, Director, VIMS, hoisted the National Flag, and in her address, emphasised the significance of security and discipline in our daily lives.
She highlighted that a secure and disciplined environment is essential for the growth and development of individuals, institutions, and the nation as a whole. She stressed that security is not just a physical aspect, but also encompasses emotional, mental, and digital well-being.
She urged the students to be vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and security.
The event saw the active participation of students who demonstrated their creativity and patriotism through the various activities.
Faculty, students, and staff came together to pay tribute to the nation’s heroes and reiterate their pledge to work towards a stronger, more inclusive India.
Students presented a range of patriotic performances, including songs, dances, and poems that celebrated India’s rich cultural diversity.
