KPR College of Arts, Science, and Research students organised the One-Day Domain-Specific Faculty Development Programme on Accountancy and Computer Science as A Token of Gratitude: Gratitude to My Origin – Lecture Series, recently.
The program aimed to foster knowledge sharing among faculty members and enhance domain expertise in Accountancy and Computer Science.
Arul Elakkiyan, II B. Com PA, delivered the welcome address. Geetha, Principal delivered the Presidential Address emphasizing the importance of teaching and learning culture between academia and industry.
The first Chief Guest, Saijanani, Chartered Accountant, Sai Associates, Coimbatore, inaugurated the first session with an insightful talk.
The second Chief Guest, Vibin Ravikumar, Team Lead and Data Scientist at 360DigiTMG Data Scientist-AISPRY delivered a keynote address highlighting the advancements in data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Following the inaugural session, the domain-specific technical sessions were started with two engaging segments focused on Strategic Thinking Skills in Handling Accountancy, analysis of computational tools and methodologies applied to accounting.
The Deep- Tech Programming Skills which focused the discussions on data integration and the role of AI in enhancing financial processes.
The sessions concluded with a campus tour, showcasing the college’s state-of-the-art facilities.
Geetha, Principal, delivered the closing remarks, summarizing the day’s proceedings and highlighting the value of collaboration and continued learning.
Certificates were distributed to all participants, followed by a feedback session to gather suggestions and insights from attendees.
This event proved to be an enriching experience, bridging academia and industry expertise. Around 70 faculty members participated in both sessions.
