The Student Development Cell of Dr. NGP Institute of Technology (NGP iTech) organised INFINIX’26, a 24-hour internal hackathon, recently with the participation of 50 multidisciplinary teams from various departments.
The event provided a platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, technical skills, teamwork and problem- solving abilities.
Problem statements were provided under five different themes aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encouraging students to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
The inaugural function commenced with an emphasis on innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and experiential learning.
Prabha, Principal, delivered the Presidential Address highlighting the importance of nurturing an innovative mindset, strengthening teamwork and applying technical knowledge to solve societal problems.
She encouraged students to transform their ideas into practical solutions that contribute to sustainable development and make a meaningful impact on society.
Palanikkumar, Dean – Computing Sciences, delivered the Felicitation Address highlighting the role of emerging technologies, interdisciplinary learning and industry-oriented problem-solving in preparing students for future challenges.
The hackathon was evaluated by 10 alumni jury members and three guests from App Innovation Technologies, who provided valuable feedback and industry insights to the participants.
During the 24-hour event, teams worked collaboratively to develop and demonstrate their solutions.
INFINIX’26 strengthened students’ technical competencies, innovative thinking and teamwork while promoting technology-driven solutions for sustainable development.
