PSG College of Arts and Science (PSGCAS) organised E-Summit 2026, a national-level entrepreneurship and startup summit, recently, under the theme “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, IPR and Startup”.

The summit brought together over 2,500 participants from more than 250 institutions.

As part of the centenary celebrations of PSG & Sons’ Charities, the event welcomed students, faculty members, representatives from over 300 MSMEs and startups, and industry experts.

Organised by the Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship (CII&E), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), E-Cell, IPR Cell and Export Promotion Cell, the summit was the first of its kind to be organised by an arts and science college in Tamil Nadu.

The three-day programme featured hackathons, workshops, competitions, an investor and incubator summit, and an Entrepreneurs Carnival showcasing over 80 student startup stalls. Cash prizes and seed funding exceeding ₹3 lakh were awarded across various competitions and startup initiatives.

Key highlights included the launch of a six-month programme for women entrepreneurs and the exchange of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Ideas to Impact Foundation, a partner of the Walmart Vriddhi Programme, and Women’s World Banking.

The event also witnessed the release of the PSGCASPreneurs book.

Networking sessions provided opportunities for participants to interact with representatives from major organisations, including Vi, Ideas to Impact (i2i), Walmart, Guidance Tamil Nadu and TNRPF.

Another highlight was Elampreneurs’26, which engaged students from 20 schools through idea pitches, model-making and creative competitions.

The E-Summit 2026 strengthened PSGCAS’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by encouraging students to explore innovative ideas, build industry connections and take their first steps towards launching their own ventures.
